 It’s the end of the month. This is a post to say Thank You Lord. For everything! I’m grateful 🙏🏾

Good News 💃🏾

He visited me, I didn’t know he had plans, I drove to where he was, I couldn’t enter the place because I was in a hurry... Okay let me explain in details.

He told me he would visit, I miss my friend, he needed to see me so he came. 

It was a Sunday. I parked somewhere around the market, close to my street and bought vegetable. I was happy. I bought vegetable and ingredients needed for efo riro. I got home, changed my clothes and entered kitchen to prepare food. 

My phone rang I was still cutting the vegetable, I dropped the knife, washed my hand and quickly picked the call.

‘Hello, meet me at where we met the first time I came here’ he said. I smiled ‘okay, give me few minutes I will join you’ I was happy to receive his call. He is around but I am not ready. I immediately diced the ponmo, added hot water to the stocked fish in a bowl, the crayfishes and eja gbigbe. ‘Yes, I have been waiting for a day like this’ I murmured.

I picked my car key after rinsing the vegetable. Of course, I changed my clothes. Nah, it wasn’t something flashy just a casual wear because I decided not to stay long. We should discuss all we want to in the house. I have to prepare food for my sisters and our guest. 

I got there, something happened but I won’t talk about that now. Let me just go straight to the part of good news ☺️ I called him to come out after parking properly. I smiled when I saw him, that moment I knew I am in love. Yes, I love him 🥰 he came to meet me in the car. I didn’t leave the car as a ‘leaner’ yes, I am not yet a perfect driver 😀 just trying to be sure you know.

I saw flower 🌹 ‘wawu so this man is about to propose?’ I said to myself. Well, he did that already but not officially. Corona o! I can never forget year 2020. Hmmm, Corona affected so many things. Let me not say too much sha. Thank God for life. 

He gave me the flower and brought out the ring. Well, I knew it would happen at a time but I didn’t expect it would be that day. See ehn, if say I enter that eatery Na so people go clap and be shouting ‘Say yes!’ 🤦🏾‍♀️ We’ve talked about it but I didn’t want it to be public though. Just give me ring let me put it in my finger and shame devil. We didn’t hug and kiss (I don’t know why I didn’t think about that at that moment o 🤷🏾‍♀️ because I always see something like that in videos) I wasn’t expecting it would be that day so I couldn’t get myself together for few minutes. He just said I should take my time, stay calm and drive. 

We took few pictures as we got home. I love the scent of the flower 🌹 I put it beside me on bed yesterday when I wanted to sleep so that I can smell the scent. We’ve done the introduction already. We don’t get to see often as expected though. He wanted to give me earlier but it’s better late than never so they say. 

Oh, I have to go to the kitchen and continue my cooking.  He was with my phone but later called me to come pick my phone because it was ringing. I received the call and we both talked with my parents. We discussed other things. Ehn, you guessed right. It was about wedding preparations. One of the reasons he came. 

I should stop here abi you want to know about my efo riro 😌 It’s rich and tasty. They all enjoyed it. I didn’t get to eat from it 😞 you asked why? Thank you o. I was doing video of my ring and taking pictures because I wanted to send it to family group on WhatsApp. They all congratulated me. That was after he left. I was excited 😆 I am still excited as I write this. This is long? I know, you got to this point because you want to know how it ended and happy for me or are you not? That aside, my portion of efo got burnt ni o because I wanted to eat later I wasn’t that hungry and you know I don’t always feel like eating. Yes, I don’t get hungry often I just force myself to eat sometimes. I think I am changing now though. 

He called me when he got home. I was worried before, I kept calling and he didn’t pick but when we got to talk I thank God he got home safe.

So that’s the good news. I got my first ring and I love it. 

Wait! One more thing. If I invite you to my wedding, you must come o. Come and celebrate with me.
